Countable Nouns : الأسماء القابلة للعد
Uncountable Nouns : الأسماء غير القابلة للعد

when we use “a” , “an” , “some” in the light of countable and uncountable nouns.
2- what are "uncountable nouns"? ما هي الأسماء غير القابلة للعد
e- There is a water in the bottle
" water" و" ink" إسمان غير قابلان للعد , فلا يمكن أن نستعمل "a " أو "an " بل يجب أن نستعمل "some"
Lesson 2- Some / any : ( Review)
في هذا الدرس سنرى الفرق بين الأسماء القابلة للعد والأسماء غير القابلة للعد , كما سنرى متى نستعمل "an" , "an" , "some" على ضوء الأسماء القابلة للعد والأسماء غير القابلة للعد.
1- what are "countable nouns"? ما هي الأسماء القابلة للعد
a - ِِِCountable nouns are nouns that we can count with numbers 1,2,3 ... . For example , we say . one book , two books , three books ,...→ "book" is a countable noun.
الأسماء القابلة للعد هي الأسماء التي يمكننا عدها باستعمال الأعداد 1, 2 ,3... . نقول مثلا : كتاب واحد , كتابان اثنان , ثلاثة كتب ...← "book" إسم قابل للعد(countable noun)
b- Countable nouns have singular and plural forms .
الأسماء القابلة للعد تأخذ صفة المفرد والجمع
We use "one" , "a" or "an" with singular , example: one book , a book , one egg , an egg .
نستعمل "one" , "a" , "an" , مع صفة المفرد مثلا : one book , a book , one egg , an egg .
And we use "two" , three", "four"...."some" with plural , example: two books , three books , ... some books , some eggs.
نستعمل "two" , three", "four"...."some" مع صفة الجمع مثلا two books , three books , ... some books , some eggs.
a- Uncountable nouns are nouns that we can not count. like liquids for example
الأسماء غير القابلة للعد هي الأسماء التي لا يمكننا عدها كالسوائل مثلا : ماء water , حليب milk , مدادink ...
b⋵⋵We use just singular form with uncountable nouns. For example ; we say "water" but we don't say " waters"
نستعمل صفة المفرد فقط مع الأسماء غير القابلة للعد, فنقول "water" ولا نقول " waters"
- We don't use "one" , "a" or "an" with uncountable nouns . For example , we cannot say " one water , a water , two waters , three waters ... because "water" is uncountable. we say "some water"
لا نستعمل "one" , "a" or "an" مع الأسماء غير القابلة للعد. فلا يمكننا أن نقول " one water , a water , two waters , three waters لأن كلمة "water" إسم غير قابل للعد. نقول :"some water"
- "a" , "an" , "some"
- Do we use “a” , “an” , “some” with countable nouns or uncountable nouns or with both of them ?
هل نستعمل “a” , “an” , “some” مع الأسماء القابلة للعد أم مع الأسماء غير القابلة للعد أم معهما الإثنين؟
