Drama activities

    As teachers, our major concern is our students' learning. We want them to enjoy the learning process and to benefit from each second in the classroom. This latter which we try to change into an active and free anxiety place. Drama is one of the tools that help teachers reach this goal. It has the potential of making the learning experience fun for the students and even memorable  because it is interactive and visual. Besides , it helps them build a self-esteem personality as well . Students who have participated in Drama activities are less likely to have difficulty speaking in public, will be more persuasive in their communications, both written and oral, will be better able to put themselves into others' shoes and relate to them, and will have a more positive, confident self image. Hence ,we shouldn’t underestimate this powerful teaching tool .

    For this reason , I use Drama in my classroom .It proved to be fruitful as students like it and all want to participate even the taciturn ones. They performed some plays in and out school.

    Rehearsals are mandatory for performances . Before students perform any play , we do some rehearsals , in which we focus on pronunciation and on facial and body movements .During English Days , we organize in our school , the students show their Drama acting abilities in front of an audience that consists of the supervisor , EFL teachers , students and parents .
