- SIMPLE PAST
I- "to be" in simple past:
1- Affirmative : ( was / were)
Examples:
I was in Fez yesterday.
Ahmed was born in 2001.
John and Sara were in London last year.
2- Negative : ( we add "not")
Examples:
I was not ( wasn't) in Fez yesterday.
Ahmed was not (wasn't) born in 2001.
John and Sara were not ( weren't) in London last year.
3- INterrogative: ( inversion)
Examples:
Were you in Fez yesterday ?
Was Ahmed born in 2001 ?
Were John and Sara in London last year ?
